When Erika and I got to talking, we both sat back and realized … “Wow, we don’t get to write about anything other than other people’s questions.” Not that we don’t enjoy it, it’s just sometimes, we have something to say that has nothing to do with questions. Then I got a message from someone asking if we allow guest posts and I was all like, “Ummmmmm…”
Needless to say, we needed to reexamine our ideas about posting and what we wanted to make of our blog. Clearly this is difficult when the title of the blog IS Ask a Bipolar. Are we still fulfilling our purpose if not EVERY post is answering a question?
The answer we came up with (since we are so spectacular at answering stuff) was ABSOLUTELY!!!
I mean, sometimes people don’t know what to ask, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t looking for answers. And although we are super fantastic and all, I can imagine that reading something with a new voice every now and again would be kind of refreshing. (Plus, absence DOES makes the heart grow fonder 😉 )
So our brilliant minds devised a plan to take over the world that will allow all of the above things to happen!
We have created a weekly schedule of how we intend to post. Now keep in mind that this MAY delay some answers. So if you guys don’t agree with this schedule let us know! (Also keep in mind that ANY questions that need to be answered sooner than we are able to post, we will always answer via email.)
The schedule is as follows:
- Monday – Thursday – we will be answering your questions!
- Friday – we will be asking YOU (our readers) a question. After all, this website is about YOU! (And we like other peoples opinions once in awhile too.)
- Saturday – I (Marybeth) will be posting something of my choice relating to bipolar disorder.
- Sunday – Erika will be posting something of her choice relating to bipolar disorder.
And each month we will substitute a Friday post or ours with a Guest Post of yours. Since this is all very new, and because we are bipolar and have a tendency to not follow the rules, our first guest post will be tomorrow!
So weigh in … what do you think? Does this new schedule make you want to throw things at us? Or does it make you want to stand up and dance to Michael Jackson’s, “Thriller”? (What? It’s a cool dance!) Or are you all, “meh” about it?
Let us know!!!
PS…Check out the Forum we added? What do you think. Should be up and running by Monday!
